Hello,

My current salt level appears to be 4000. All salt was added by the pool builder prior to me moving into the new home/pool last month. is it OK to leave it at this present level throughout the rest of the season?

Thanks.

That is too high.

You should adjust to about 3,200 ppm.

What is the current (Amps) during operation with the heater off and with the heater on?

At 8.0 amps, the unit will have a High Salt Error.

At 7.0 to 7.9 amps, the unit will work but the current can cause the components to overheat and fail.

Ideally, the amperage should be about 6.5 to 6.9 amps.

Note: When the heater is on, the amperage goes up due to higher water temperature, so you have to check during heater operation.

Appears to be 4000 where? On your OmniPL display or your TF Salt Test?

I retested after JamesW posted a Taylor Video on Salt testing on my TA thread. I repeated it 4x and got 3200.
Thanks everyone
