Robot spilling dirt when pulled out of water

Hi,

I have a Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus which is a few years old. It looks like the one in the picture below.
I've noticed that when I lift the Dolphin out of the pool, that a bunch of sand and dirt is draining from it as i'm lifting it out. There is still plenty of sand/dirt caught by the filter when I take them out.
Is this normal, or is there a certain seal that has failed?

Not sure if yours has the same part as my Active30, but there's a non return flap that, when pulled out of the water, will stop any dirt from leaving the robot. Mine looks like this below, and I replaced mine this year after noticing the original was torn.

Look on your robot's filter for a cloth like piece at the bottom.
