Request for Plumbing Critique

I have a Pentair Clean & Clear with 5,000 gal AGP currently connected via the stock hoses and am planning to hard-plumb this weekend. I thought I'd submit my plan here in the event anyone can see issues/opportunities for improvement. All valves (with the exception of the drain valve) are Jandy-type, as is the check valve before the pump. It may not be clear in the sketch, but I was planning the check valve to be placed to keep water from backflowing back into the skimmer so I don't lose prime, especially when draining through the cartridge filter. The valve on the drain outlet will have a barbed fitting so I can attach a flat hose as needed to help drain rainwater during the wet season. This pool is chlorine.

Check valves on the suction side of the pump should be avoided if possible. Not sure why you have it.

Agreed move check valve to return side of filter everything else looks good.

I dont think the check valve is necessary on either side.

You shouldn't have any trouble with priming on an above ground pool.

That’s true check valve isn’t necessary, but you should put a 2 way after filter. That way you can shut off return without having to flip 3 way around.
