Replacement insulation for burners. What type is recommended?

I was rebuilding and cleaning my MinimaxNT and it works great, but during the removal of the burner tray, I found much of the insulation attached to the front and back of the tray frame had fallen to pieces. I'd like to replace it with the same or similar. It is quite thin at about 1/4" and the portion on the back of the tray is right next to the burners. Any recommendations for a material to use that could be cut to size?

There is no mention of this material in the troubleshooting parts manual but searching for Minimax NT insulation gave me the following. There are a few places that offer this part but none describe what it is.
