I’ve got a simple question. I am phasing out using tri chlor tabs (and therefore, the in-line chlorinator). I’m using liquid bleach now. Do I need to adjust my pump speed down since I don’t need the high pressure to go through the chlorinator?

82,

You should run your VS pump as slow as you can and still get the job done.

I'd run the pump at whatever speed allows your skimmers to work well.

I run my pump 24/7, at 1200 RPM, most of the time. But, I don't have a heater..

Thanks,

Jim R.

It’s a Pentair Intelliflo VSF

I have 2 speed settings on my Pentair app to choose from: High and Pool

Not sure how many RPMs are tied to each setting, or how to change them either…any advice there would be appreciated too!

I don’t believe it’s a intellifo 3. Part number for pump is 350305.

It’s an automated system. I don’t use the buttons on the pump. It was set for me. I control the pump using the control box that controls the entire pool switches (pump, spa, lights, etc)

Ok. So you have automation.
If Easytouch, you can have 12 different schedules. Not that you need that.

What do you want the pool pump to do?

In your app, you can adjust the rpm of your existing schedule as you wish. If just one schedule, set it at 1500 rpm and see how it skims the pool.
