Recommended “chemicals”

I have a pool and use the BBB method.

I am ordering a couple items (Floats) from Pool Supplies Canada

we have a hot tub coming in 6-8 weeks.

I need to spend $100 to get free shipping and figured might as well get some stuff for the hot tub. Any suggested purchases?

Get a spare set of filters so you can swap out and clean.

The only chemical other than salt, bleach & muriatic acid i use in my tub is a small amount of 99% dichlor - a 1lb container has lasted me well over a year.
Like @tillmac62 suggested replacement filters would be a wise choice & some ahhsome so you can purge your new tub! As even new tubs can have biofilms.

If you need filters for the hot tub, I haven't been able to find anyone who can beat these guys on price, Pool and Hot Tub Depot, have lots of pool stuff too, also carry Taylor test reagents if you need some of those. Similar deal with $90 to get free shipping, but the flat rate shipping isn't bad. I have used Pool Supplies Canada as well, but these guys seem to have better pricing on hot tub stuff, can't speak for the pool parts.
