Raising ph without raising total alkalinity

I need to raise my ph up from 7.0 and it’s my understanding that using borax will raise my total alkalinity out of the ideal range(currently 100ppm). Should I buy an aerator to tackle the job? If so, can anybody recommend a cheap aerator? Thanks.
