question about the CH test

good morning all
When I mix the first 2 reagents, 10 and 11, the water turns ever-so-slightly pink and it almost looks light blue-esque-ish. After drops of reagent 12, I can see the change to blue; today it took 12 drops.

Is the change to ever-so-slightly pink normal? Or should it be pinker or darker pink?

I find the initial (starting) color to a light purple almost. But the end result should be a light baby blue with the R-0012. Be sure to go that far. Don't stop too early when teh reagent is still dark blue-purple.
