I just installed a new pump (Hayward) and filter system. I used pvc for the whole system and used the weld (glue) to put it all together. I have a very small leak where the pvc pipe screws into the pressure side of the pump.
To fix it I am going to have to cut the pipes and reinstall a new threaded end into the pump.
My question is should I put some unions in that thread together so that any future issues do not cause me to have to cut the pipes? Are there any problems using these close to the pump vibration?
