finally got to open pool today. Every thing went smoothly until i tried to start pump. Filled it with water but it didnt pull from pool. I tried adding more water but no go. Ive tried everything I know and still pump wont prime up. Any ideas welcomed. pump is hayward max flo

The Max-Flo should work, but may take a few attempts to fill your suction line. If you have a main drain, shut it off and pull only from the skimmer. Remove the pump lid, fill with water, turn it on briefly, then it off, then refill and turn on the pump again. Do that 2-3 times and hopefully you'll get the water to pull on its own. If not let us know.
Also make sure you added pool lube to the lid O-ring.
