Pressure up from 15psi to 25psi in an afternoon

I keep my TA down around 70. That gives a lot more wiggle room with the pH.

I must admit I would prefer my PH around the 7.4 mark rather than 7.2 to give me some wiggle room but what about jblizzle's comment about my CH? Is 7.4 still considered to be at the low end? Looking at the recommended levels http://www.troublefreepool.com/content/134-recommended-levels for plaster it has TA between 70-90+ with PH between 7.5 and 7.8. so with my CH very high and CYA a little high, I guess a PH of 7.4 is at the low end?

My pool is tile on concrete rather than plaster, if that makes any difference?
