Position of flow switch with circu-pool swg

Instructions say "When positioning the Flow Switch, there must be at least 6 to 12” (30cm) of straight pipe before the Flow Switch."

Does that mean immediately before the flow switch?

My installation has about 1" then a 90 then 1" another 90 then about a 12" straight run to the outlet of the filter.
Is that acceptable?

Yes it meant immediately before the flow switch. Ideally you would have used the end of the straight pipe off the filter, but what's done is done.

Road test it and see. You have a simple setup and likely flow for days. With a similarly simple setup, my 1st pool had the cell directly 90'd to the heater output and it worked like a champ.

*edit. With a SS pump you're fine. It's a low RPM issue with flow when it is an issue. You only have full bore and the flow switch will be hanging on for dear life. :ROFLMAO:
