Just an update (mostly for my records) - I drained about 50% and was getting nervous about pool floating issues. I kept pumping out of deep end but added water back in the shallow end at the same time, with the water coming in slightly faster. Left that run overnight, then this morning turned off the pump and pool is refilling. I'm also running the pool filter from the main drain only.
I used test strips so I don't waste the Taylor chemicals and CYA was showing in 30-50 range, and that is before filling it back up. So I'm guessing that will drop more, and I will get a real test once it is back up to level. FC was near 0 so I added liquid chlorine to get that back up and will monitor over the day.
