Hello everyone, I dropped of the radar before saying thanks for your help in getting my pool bright and blue. Just my luck that soon after my last post, my property got hit by a tornado. We had 91 trees fall down on my property. The pool itself had three huge (18"+ diameter) trees get lifted and thrown in the pool. Had to get a crane to get them out. 300' of fencing ripped out of the ground. My 60-70% of the flagstone coping was ripped off the pool. Tiles also were damaged. My water fall pump was was hit by a tree. Some chipping to the pool floor itself, but not much. I have two estimates, $25K for a complete redo with all new tiles, coping and plaster. about $12K for the coping, acid wash, new pool water, etc. The insurance will only cover (most) the $12K.
Subsequently, the pool turn green once again. Estimate for my pool My pool is all cleaned, clear and blue now after following the same procedures as before. I put in a new waterfall pump. My coping and tiles are still out. We can swim in it. We only go in and out by the stairs or where we have some coping.
Luckily, the house proper was not hit except for a branch that flew through a window.
I am going to try to fix this all myself. Same as the fence ($12K estimate).
So I am off to the "fix it yourself" part of this website to try and learn the best way to fix the coping, tiles and sealant.
Thanks again all,
Jim
