Don't ask me why, but although I knew I had to brush after adding pool shock, I didn't, got distracted with something else and forgot.
I used Leslie's - Power Powder Plus 73% Calcium Hypochlorite Pool Shock, and I have now stains on my Pebble Tec plaster.

Is there anything that can be done, besides replastering? Wife's not happy...

Time to take the wife out for a nice dinner to try and get out of the dog house. :) Sounds like the cal-hypo bleached the coloring. Unless your plaster is old and may have been discolored already from calcium staining or something else, you may have to live with it.

Hence why we prefer folks to not use granular chlorine products in the pool- Liquid chlorine or salt systems are the way to go! Have you considered changing the way you sanitize your pool?
We can help you decide a new way... just holler!
