We had our pool opened today by same company who closed it last fall. Upon opening, we discovered the pool lost water over the winter. We didn’t notice any leaks prior to closing. Pool has about 6” in shallow end and maybe a few feet in deep end. All four rounded corners appear to have water behind the liner; they puff out slightly but not extremely noticeable.
Pool company didn’t finish opening. Advised we fill pool with water, call different company/diver to identify leak and patch, then they will finish the opening.
Does this sound logical? Should we pay to fill pool (water would need to be trucked in) and then see if leak can be identified? Will filling pool with water behind liner create more issues? We didn’t notice that while pool guy was here.
Pool is 7 years old and ~19,000 gallons. We are in Michigan.
