Pool light - winterization

Hi,

As I’m closing the pool for the first time, I’m not sure if I should removing my pool light. I have an Hayward niche with an Astrolite housing that has a led light in it instead of an incandescent light. Given that’s it’s led, I’m not sure if I need to remove it for the winter. Can water in the niche expand and break it or push the light out?

The safest place for your light is in the niche.

Your pool is not going to freeze that deep.
