Pool-Krete/Vermiculite Washout - seeking advice

Our 18 X 36 IG pool install has gone well and relatively quick when compared to other builds I’ve read about here. We are 1 month in and were getting ready for decking/ liner in the next week when we got a decent rain yesterday and the Pool-Krete/vermiculite washed out. It had been down for about 4 days, was not yet sanded and PB didn’t have a tarp over/in it. This is what we are left with as of this morning; is it a complete redo on this portion and how does PB go about this? Hoping someone with expertise can lessen our panic level.

Is that only from rain, or do you have ground water coming up from below?

Thanks. He said he was hoping it was just the bottom and not the sides. Also said because we backfilled the exterior with stone that cause it to “pop” from underneath.

Just rain- but he said because we backfilled with stone that the rain must’ve gone straight to the bottom and caused the Pool-Kree to “pop”.

We had the same issue on a much smaller scale. A 3'x2' spot washed out after a rain before we had the liner in. Got that patched up, put the liner in, then another rain came and flooded under the liner from the light holes at each end of our pool. Removed the liner cleaned the bottom out again, reinstalled the liner then filled it up to the bottom of the light holes so I could put the light niches in. It's been a challenge with all the rain.
