Our system keeps losing its prime and keeps getting air bubbles in the pump. No airs coming from the pipes. We keep having to put water in the pump and turn it on and off hoping itll catch. I attached pics below of our set up. What could be causing that?

We've backwashed it multiple times

Welcome to TFP! Still having that prime problem? This is generally a suction sir leak issue. You appear to have a single suction line that makes a U-turn and goes into the ground. I don't see any valve. How long has this been going on? Did it just start? Have you done anything new lately?

A few basic tips:
- Check the pump clear lid O-ring to ensure it's lubed well.
- Check that nut that connects the suction line to the front of the pump. If there's an O-ring, it should be lubed and seated well in the groove. While the O-ring should do the job, some people will place a few wraps of Teflon tape and perhaps some PTFE paste on the threads as well. Not too much though as you don't want the nut to crack with too much product when tightened.
- Be sure the pool water level is high enough with no problems at the pool suction point (skimmer, suction port, etc).

Let us know how it goes.
