We filled our new 16' X 4' Intex Ultra Frame pool, about 15 hours ago (yesterday evening), the new Hayward pump and filtration system is giving us problems. The water was circulated with no chemicals for 3 hours. We shut it off and retired for the night. The filter needs to be drained and the connections need to be wrapped again in plumber's tape and a new electrical outlet needs to be installed. We have a SWG, but no salt has been added. The day has been overcast. Do we need to add chlorine or algicide while my husband is working on the plumbing and electrical connections? The water can not be circulated. Thanks.
