Polaris - Repair Axle Block or Replace Cleaner?

Hi TFP Gang!

Working with a 5yr old Polaris 280 and the axle block snapped. A few questions for those who are inclined to assist (and an advanced thank you as well)

Is it possible to just buy just the axle block?
The Polaris is black but the blocks all look off white, I haven't taken the cleaner apart so maybe they are all off white. (part number?)

Is this a relatively easy fix for newbs or is it better to have it serviced?

Ditch the Polaris for another booster pump cleaner or possibly electric robot?

I don't know anything about fixing your cleaner. When I got sick of my pressure cleaner I punted it and got Doheny's Discovery. It is LOTS better. LOTS. Does a much better job, easier to clean out, no worrying about pumps running at the right times. More here, First Robotic Cleaner, Doheny's Discovery
