This is my first post guys, hello! I’m glad I found the site and forums. I have a customer who has a Polaris P965iQ. I brought it home and opened it up and the problem is one of the small Dc motors got wet and doesn’t work anymore. My question’s are and I’m sorry if they’ve been asked before, is there a supplier or alternative (ie amazon) for this small motor? PN…41JFS3146 or 161K2EG

How old is the machine? If it is 5 or more years old this repair may not be cost effective. Even if it is newer it may be difficult to find the motor and something else may go after replacing the motor. Unfortunately these machines are not built to withstand the environments they work in. Plastic parts and submerged electronics don't last long and then throw in lifting them and "placing" them on hard pool surround surfaces. This all leads to tons of wear and tear. I did search quick for the part (as I'm sure you did) and found nothing.
My 5 year old Polaris P93 suffered some broken wheels this past summer. I called my local (shhhhh) pool store. I was fortunate enough that my timing was perfect and they had taken in the exact same model with a bad motherboard. They were throwing it out and said I could have it if I came and picked it up. That's what I did. You may want to see if any local PB has any thing available to you.

Thanks for the reply Joonbug, I went to a specialist dc motor company after searching on the internet. I found 1 Chinese website selling the motor but didn’t feel comfortable putting my cc details in. The motor company wouldn’t rewind and repair something so small so I ended up giving it away to one of my customers and we fixed his p9550 with the parts. Seems as Polaris is the only company being supplied with these motors to keep the price inflated when it goes bad in a year. I’m not spending the $900 for the complete unit on a part that should only cost $30.
someone opened this up and found the motors some years ago. I'm sure the thread is still on here.

Maytronics/Dolphin is the same way - maybe $100 worth of parts inside the motor assembly but they won’t sell any internal components to fix them. They either want you to buy a new motor assembly for $450 or, even better for them, a new robot starting at $800+ … they don’t want anyone repairing old robots because that didn’t make them any money. The drive motor on my S300i is similar to that small DC motor in your Polaris. It doesn’t work anymore and probably costs maybe $20-$30 new. But you can’t find them anywhere.
