My Polaris 280 is getting tangled up daily. I've owned the home for only 3 months so i do not know the age of the equipment of how long it's been occurring. This is my first pool and I'm using the TFP chemistry method.
Some things I've noticed. The hose appears to have some permanent bends to it. The hose might be too short because, while the polaris can reach the far corners of the pool, they always have debris left in them. The swivels will turn by hand but I'm not sure what a good one vs bad one would feel like.
Two things seem to happen.
1. The hose twists itself up until the polaris is just dangling, suspended above the pool floor.
2. The hose or first float just above the polaris snags on itself right at the quick release on the wall.
I'm a DIYer but without any pool experience, I'd be blindly throwing replacement parts at it so your help is greatly appreciated.
