Plumbing new AQR15

Hi everyone,

We have 1.5 inch pipe for all our plumbing. The AQR15 is 2inch plumbing and I want to know the best way to go from 1.5 X2 then back to 1.5. I saw this coupler but the psi is listed as maximum of 5 psi. Is this ok? Can I use this to from 1.5x2?

Schedule 40 slip by slip reducer bushings.

Just glue them into the unions.

Nope! You don't want that one.

Look for schedule 40,those are pressure rated. The DWV one you had is for no pressure drain lines and venting.

If you want to go to. Homedepot you want this one: DURA 2 in. x 1-1/2 in. Sch. 40 PVC Reducer Bushing-C437-251 - The Home Depot

Or only 2 down to 1.5.

And just to clarify, I'll need 2 for the cell and 2 for the flow switch?

You can use the one I posted, not the one you did

So your AQR has a threaded union on either side with a 2" slip fitting, basically you, using proper pvc solvent, 'glue'/weld a fitting I to each unit in, thus reducing it to accept your 1.5" pipe.

Does that make more sense?

I think you'll also need to do the same thing on the flow sensor, or you can get a short piece of 2" pipe to connect the flow sensor to the cell's union.

I understand now. Just to make sure, I'll need 4 total. Two for each end of the set and flow switch. Correct
I guess it would be easier just to get a small 2inch piece and plumb that between the swg and the flow sensor.

So it would be.
1.5 to bushing to swg to 2inch to flow sensor to bushing to 1.5.

Sigamond..that is correct, you'll need 4 I just did mine last week...buy a couple extra and a pic up a couple 1 1/2 inche couplers in case you make a bad cut...then take back whatever you dont use...
