Plumbing a new Hayward 4030 Cartridge Filter

Hi. I currently have the Hayward S244T sand filter. The pump is connected to the filter with a heavy duty flex hose and clamps on both ends. I will be installing a new Hayward C4030 Cartridge filter in its place. The "In" on the new filter is a little lower than the outflow on top of the pump. Is it ok for me to use the same flex hose and just easly bend it (upside down U shape) and use a clamp connection at the "IN" on the filter ? Trying to avoid hard plumbing it in since I bring the pump kn for the winter.

Post a picture of the setup. Hard plumbing is always preferred and you can use unions to remove the filter.
