Yes it does. But it’s very gradual and it’s barely noticeable. Just enough to ensure good chlorine distribution.

That is a great increase in aeration. Far outstrips anything from the SWCG.

I don’t quite understand Marty. There is no visible aeration from the spillover. I keep the water level in the pool/spa so it’s just below the spillover. When the pump is running, it barely trickles over. No disturbance of the water surface. You’re saying that is enough to contribute to my pH rise.

Aeration can be very subtle. A ripple from a return jet, wind across the surface. May not seem like much, but 24 hours a day it adds up.
