pH and Alkalinity

For the last 45 days, I have reduced my pH and Alkalinity to 7.5 and 60 respectively. I know this is at the low end of the range, but I made this change because my salt cell was fouling with deposits much faster than normal. A byproduct of this change is that my pool water clarity has improved significantly. Is there any harm with maintaining this range long-term?

....... lower than 7. Anywhere 'in range' is equally ok for most.
