You can try replacing the capacitor and the thermal cutout.

Most likely, the motor is bad but it is very early for a motor failure.

Can you show the barcode label on the pump with the date of manufacturing?

I am surprised that they were allowed to use a 1.65 hp single speed pump in California.

You really should have a variable speed pump or a water feature pump if it is a water feature.

Sorry, got busy. Just wanted to thank you for the help. It was the pump, the pb replaced. I have a VSP for pool, that pump is only used for slide.
