Pentair ultratemp tries to start but can't quite get going

The other day I noticed the breaker had tripped on our pentair ultratemp. I flipped it on and it started making a weird random loud occasional pop sound. I cleaned out the filter to make sure water flow is all good and today it makes the sound like it's trying to start but can't quite get started.

Sounds like a bad compressor failing to start. Gotta call an HVAC shop to work on that if you don't have an EPA certificate.

How old is the HP?
 
Check this contractor and capacitor...
