Pentair Ultratemp Heat/Cool

I read in the Ultratemp wiki that there is an issue with the chiller mode and the set point functionality that can lead to burning up the fan due to the constant cycling.

It mentions that this issue will be addressed in IntelliCenter firmware V1.046.

Was it addressed? Is that fixed?

Is this still a known issue on the unit itself? I do not have IntelliCenter being installed (or any automation for that matter) so I am wondering if I will fight this battle or if Pentair fixed this. I see that comment is a few years old so fingers crossed it has been address.

That my friends, will burn that fan motor up in no time!!!!

The person is speculating.

Is there any evidence that any fan motor has burned up due to this issue?

Cycling is not good for any motor, but claiming that the motor is going to "Burn up" is probably an exaggeration.

Contact Pentair and see what they say.

UPDATE: Pentair actually sent me a link with a software upgrade claiming to fix the problem......I haven't had the chance to install it. I will do it tomorrow. I will post results once I have them.
