Hey everyone

We have a less than 2 year old pool, and there has been issues with our filter. We have a Pentair SuperFlo VST.

The newest problem is that when the pump turns on, I have it at 3000 rpm and it goes like 5 seconds and then loses all pressure and there is barely a trickle coming out of the bubblers and jets.

even set at the max rpm, there is barely any flow, can anyone recommend what to fix on this?

Something simple to try, first make sure your water level is at least halfway up your skimmer. And make sure any shut off valves/diverter valves are in their correct position. Is the pump lid /basket area filling with water to the top of the lid?

What type of filter do you have? Has it been cleaned in the past 2 yrs? What does the pressure gauge read on the filter?

Yep, water level is good, water is to the top of the lid and all valves are correct.

Pressure gauge is at 30 psi and the filter is only a year and a half old

A weir stuck in the "up" position?

It is time to disassemble and clean the filter. It should be done at least annually.

Remove the cartridge and reassemble the filter and run the pump.

If all works well then it confirms you have a cartridge problem.

These are the two brands we have used for cartridge filter soaking.Needs to be done yearly to work the most efficient per all major manufacturers guidelines.
