Hi all, I have a new problem with my pool. The home is a vacation rental, and to reduce the guests issues trying to run the pool system through the Screenlogic app on a tablet, I decided to install an IS4 spaside remote.

This is a dual body EasyTouch system (thanks to you wonderful folks walking me through the conversion) where our infinity spa flows into our pool.

I have it set up very simply with the IS4 4 button remote. First button turns the spa on. Second button turns on and off lights. Third button runs the blower. Fourth button is supposed to turn the system back to the pool.

The new issue since installing the spaside remote is that the pool won't return to normal operation when the spa button is pressed to turn it off, and nothing seems to happen when I hit the 4th button to return to the pool circuit.

Right now, after someone is done using the spa, they hit the spa button, and the whole system shuts off. After approximately 1 minute the pool pump starts, but the lights do not come back on in the pool, and the schedule seems to be lost for the rest of the day.

Any idea what might be going on?

Mike,

On the surface this sounds impossible, so something is off..

Turning the spa on or off has no relationship with any lights...

Please show me what Circuits you have assigned to each button on the iS4..

Also show me all your Circuits set up..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Ok. Here are the shots from my SL Config

Let me know if this helps. I don't have access to a PC to view this info there.

Mike,

Please use the following diagram and ensure that everything is wired correctly...

Make sure all the color codes are correct.

Keep in mind that the iS4 uses momentary buttons.. One of the standard failures for the iS4 is that the buttons get corroded and makes it appear that the button is always pushed. This happens to very old remotes, so if yours is new, it should not have this issue.

The main problem I am having is that if you turn on the lights, they should stay on until the egg-timer times out.. (12 hour default) Being in the spa mode, or pool mode, should have zero to do with the lights. If we figure out that issue, it will probably solve the other issues.

Thanks,

Jim R.

So, I had not opened the box. Once I did, and dropped the panel down, I wiggled each wire, and the blue was broken off at some point. Probably immediately after my pool guy closed the box last month. I reinstalled it, and it appears to be working. I'll have to see if it holds our schedules tonight.
