Sometimes a seal can chirp a little from the friction of the faces rubbing together.

So, that might be what you heard.

Hopefully, you will be able to get some more time out of the pump. They're not cheap.

I think you were correct. It stopped chirping after a few days. No noise issues after stopping and starting up a couple times too. Perhaps it was just the new seal. I am relieved (for now anyway - ha)
