pentair ic40 red flow light

Hi, my flow light was red and the flow seems ok based on the pressure from the return lines so I put in a new switch its still red! my question if maybe the wires are not connected well would the flow light go on or not even go on?

The light will be red unless the flow switch is closed. So, a bad flow switch, or an open connection, will both result in a red flow light.

As a test only, I suggest that you connect the Red and Black wires coming out of the cell together and see if the light goes green. If it does, it means the flow switch is bad, or that the connections are bad. If it stays Red, when the wires are connected, then the cell is bad.
