It is a little cloudy but I had just swept and then remembered I was going to take a pic so most is just what I stirred up.

I am not going to give up now, I have $150 in bleach in there and I am pretty sure the cashiers at Walmart assume I must be cleaning up a murder...

What kind of filter are running?

Keep an eye on the filter pressure and backwash/clean as needed. The water clarity is due to a lot of dead algae. As long as all the dead "gunk" is in the pool water, it will continue to consume FC and generate CC. So agitating the water and vacuuming to waste can be really helpful.
