Our light came out

The entire fixture has come out. My husband bumped it this weekend and found the metal ring that covers it, one of the screw openings, is broken. We got it set back in but my son knocked it out again today.

First question, it is sitting , connected, on the side of the pool right now. Is that safe until I can get it fixed?

Second question, is this a DIY project or do I need to get a pro out?

As long as the light is turned off, it can be on the deck, or in the pool. Don't turn it on unless it is installed in the niche.

The light is held in by the trim ring and one screw. It shouldn't be too difficult to get it back together as long as you have the screw.

Probably the hardest thing will be finding the right replacement part.
