Order of operations? Do I even need to?

Howdy Good People!

Just got back from out of town and things are a bit off.

My PH usually runs between 7.2 and 7.8, today it is 7.8, so normally I would add a heaping cup of acid.
Today, both my alkalinity and CYA are at 50.
My free chlorine is at an 8 (the cell is set at 50 percent, so I'll change that to 40 percent. )
What's my next move?

What's my next move?

With lower alkalinity at 50 ppm, I would hold off on MA. If the pH is happy there, leave it.
