Hi smart folks,
I just replaced my 1 HP single-speed super pump (motor A.O. Smith) motor with a 3/4 HP 2 speed motor as advised by INYO pools discussion. Same rpm on high, and this one is whisper quiet in comparison. Also comes with a built in timer that I need to program.
My question: on high, opening pressure at the filter is the same as always, around 10 p.s.i. On low speed, however, the opening pressure is half of this. Seems logical given the rpm is also half, but
Is this enough to filter the pool water?
I’m SLAMing right now. Can I do this on low and leave it on, or should I do on high?
Thanks.
