Ready for your job today? Measure every thing. Is it long, wide, deep, etc enough????? Add about 6" or so for the gunite and plaster. Is it there? As in benches, steps, etc.

Yep - all measured pretty darn close. I was surprised!
The Gunite portion was completed this morning. I measured again....all pretty darn close. I'm guessing where the water line would come up to, but it appears close enough for me.
We won't have much progress over the next few weeks, but at least I know that in advance.
The stone we ordered will take a few weeks to come in, so we will sit back and take care of the gunite as directed from our builder.
How soon can you walk on it? I know my son will want to walk around. The bottom is too wet, no doubt.
I'm attaching a few pictures of the days activities.....

I would like to hear what your PB told you to do with the gunite while you waited. I also have a set of links to send you when I get home. It will help you get a head start of learning how to care for your pool when it has water.

My builder informed me in person yesterday to water it a couple of times a day for several days and then I received an email from the builder office listing out the "what's next" items as well as orders to water the gunite and not to walk on the gunite for several days.
They won't have anyone come to work on the pool until they know the gunite is set and the integrity won't be harmed when they dig for plumbing and electric.

When you get tired of "bonding" with your pool aka watering it you can use sprinklers to do the work for you.

Update at last!
We had to wait a few weeks before the stacked stone was ordered and delivered. The crews started work on Monday laying the waterline tile, followed by the flagstone coping, etc. What a wonderful difference it makes.
The equipment was delivered today. I'm told that the plumbing and electrical work will begin next week.

Congrats on the beautiful stone selections and having it installed so well! BTW... the colors go beautifully with your dog! If only our pets knew what lengths we go to just for them!! Lol!
You are so right Suz. We went with the sunshelf depth just for Copper. We didn't want it too deep for him to be able to get down in the water and sit down if he wanted to.
He really wants to drink the water down in his new water bowl and can't understand why we won't let him.

OK - Plumbing and Electric is taking place this week. I'm a bit overwhelmed as this is so new to me.
I'm hopeful that the setup is 1 - OK, and 2 - easy to figure out. Here are a few pictures of the equipment, and then the various electric and plumbing thus far for the summer kitchen (that will be located under a pergola).

Everything continues to move along. Acid wash takes place today...water soon thereafter.

Our builder presented us with the pool diagram/plans over a year ago, and we kept coming back to it- and so glad we signed with them.
I think we just got lucky with the stone selection. That was a difficult decision....never thought it would be!
