Omni PL Upgrade Kit Hayward Automation

Turn off the power at the CBs before doing any electrical work.

Just looking to see if anyone else is getting the K1 K2 cell sensors errors after the upgrade?

Power cycling through GFCB doesnt clear

Check for blown fuses on the board.

Check the cell cable end for burn marks.

Interesting so since October 29th after I changed the PCB Yellow 20A fuse the errors disappeared. Now they have re appeared so I will change the 20A fuse again. Anyone have any ideas on why this fuse is blowing?

It's a Hayward T15 Cell that is running with the OmniPL automation.

What is the salt level in your pool and how are you measuring it?

After you replace the fuse and get the cell working post what the volts and amps are when it is generating.

Here are some photos of the OmniLogic Chlorination GIU

First one is with fuse blown, next one is this morning new fuse installed.

Can someone who installed the upgrade kit tell me or show a pix of where to route the remote display cable from behind the false front and then exit the cabinet.
There are knockouts on the side of the metal cabinet that I used. I had run the Sense & Dispense through a knockout so I used that but there should be more then one. Worst case if no knockouts just drill out a hole, I would use a vacuum on the inside as you were drilling to catch debris from going near electronics.

28.92V and 6.05A is ok.

Try letting your salt level fall and run it with an average slat level around 3000-3200. That should lower your amps and maybe prevent the fuse from blowing.

What is your actual salt level tested with a Taylor K-1766 salt test ?

Thank you for looking at that for me....is there a Voltage or Amperage level or limit I should watch for to avoid the fuse blowing again?

Based on what your saying is it High salt or low salt that causes the T-15 to blow the fuse?

Here is today's reading after the system shut off.......now getting low salt reading

Amps is proportional to salt level with the Hayward systems. The higher the salt level the higher the amps. The system is supposed to shut its elf down for protection if amps get to 8.0.

What are the first seven characters of your cell serial number?
