Yeah I'd certainly love to know what the earth underneath is like before I try to repair the crack but I have no clue how I would accomplish that without a major hassle. I'd rather spend $80 and see what happens ... not worried about the danger of it reappearing, I realize that may happen. The pool floor is not soft at the crack.
