Question:

I have a leak in the hard plum on the pool side (the part that replaced the Intex valve)
I want to disconnect my plumbing for inspection, but the pool is with water, is there a way to stop the water from coming out from the inside? any ideas? (without draining the pool)

Rubber plugs. Corks. Ram a carrot into the port from the inside.

If it is leaking around the gasket. have a helper hold a bowl over the fitting inside the pool, then loosen and reset the fitting.

Here is my new upgrade:
AquaTrol and a 2 speed pump.
Really nice upgrade over the Intex, overall the system is much more flexible and easy to use.

Pretty good install, looks good. How long does the 20lb propane tank last?

~4 hours (when the tank is in a bucket of hot water)

eeeeeeewwwww...........that works out to $3.50 and hour for heating. Propane not cheap, about $14 here to fill 20lb tank. Guess I will rule a propane heater out, have no gas service here, so that makes solar or an electric heater.\

Saying that however, how long doe sit take to heat the pool from low 70's up into the 80's?
