Hello all. I just refilled my 22k gal pool ($350 here in SoCal!)
Struggle with low end CH@200 and low end CYA@30. Should I give it time or make adjustments now? Thanks!
White plaster
10% bleach
22k gal

FC 5
CC 0
PH 7.8
TA 80
CH 200
CYA 30

Welcome to TFP! Consider the following:
1 - Consider a CYA goal of 40 ppm as we approach late spring/early summer. You can always increase to 50 later if you feel the free chlorine needs more protection from the sun.
2 - If your local water is hard, only increase the CH to about 250. If your local water is soft, you can increase the CH to 300 - 350.

Everything else looks good for now. Keep the pH no higher than 7.8 and be sure to balance FC to the CYA as noted on the FC/CYA Levels to prevent algae.
