New Pool Nightmare - Need Advise ASAP

also, we did find a leak in the pebble in our spa that we will be having patched, could a leak in the spa also cause the water leave in the pool to go down? I would assume that would not affect the pool water level as the water and the spa doesn't touch each other. but my husband thinks it might have something to do with why the pool water level went down also

That's definitely not a code compliant drain.

You need dual drains or an unblockable drain and the sump has to be approved.

Can you show the drain cover?

What is the drain cover part number?

There's no way they pressure tested the pipe like that.

Why is it so dirty inside?

Suction can be a single unblockable drain or dual drains.

All drains need to be certified and unmodified.

The existing drains are modified and not code compliant.

Many local codes adopt the INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING POOL AND SPA CODE which includes the APSP-7 Standard for Suction Entrapment Avoidance.
