New Pool Install - Pump Orientation

Hey guys. I'm still very new around here, but wanted to reach out for some opinions. Basically my pool is still in construction. the equipment was set down a few weeks ago by the plumbers. I took a look at it and it seems like they put my pump in a very inconvenient orientation? So it appears to be a variable speed pump, with the door on top to reveal a control panel. The problem is, that the way it's set up, I'll have to control this from upside down. I don't know how big of an issue this will be. I assume I'll rarely have to adjust the pump it self and once its set then the mechanical timer will take care of the rest? Any insight would be great.
