The electricians came by today and wired up the Easytouch, lights, and everything else. Magnificent clean job. And they helped me get some other low voltage runs done around the house and yard while the trenches were dug. Very professional. I'm really digging the builder. Another ra-ra for Seahorse Pools.
And here's Day 6 of the Pool Build. The Tile and Coping guys get started on that plus the retaining wall veneer. Sadly you can't see much of the rock work from this angle at all. I'll post pictures later.
Here's day 7 of the pool build. Actually, it's day 8. I didn't record day 7 because I was out of town. But all that really happened was stone work on the retaining wall. It's a long wall and it took them all day to do most of it.
Good job. Seriously, if more people just took the bull by the horns like you did, there would be less PB arguments! There is a time and a place for it but sometimes you just gotta do it yourself. It's not always worth the effort to explain it 5 times.
Thanks. I really prefer to do stuff myself when I can when I know it'll really matter. And before it was a really odd staircase. And they were just going to pour around an existing bit of the old sidewalk. I enjoyed jack hammering that out. Plus it was short one step. Big 11" first step.
Some more videos. They've poured the patio and stairs and started the prep work for the Sundek. Mostly that means removing the old stamped cement overlay.
And here's today's video. The Sundek installers finished up and it looks better than I could have hoped. They did an amazing job removing my old stamped concrete overlay and getting the new decking sprayed.
Here's the Day 13 Video. They did the plastering, but my GoPro stopped taking images and shutdown around 1020 pics so it's not the whole day with the pool filling and the lights coming on at the end of the day.
I have enjoyed all of the time lapse video's. You have inspired me to do a time lapse of our build. Our pool build is supposed to start next week. Yay! Anyway, I was wondering how often your camera was set to take the pictures. I have been experimenting with creating time lapse videos with taking pictures of the clouds over the last couple weeks. With clouds you have to take the pictures really close together (just a few seconds apart) if you don't want the video to be really choppy. I was thinking with a pool build I would be able to set my camera to take the pictures much farther apart and still end up with a great video. Any tips or suggestions that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
My Daddy ALWAYS told me... If you want something done right, DIY! I like the new layout of the steps and the pool looks fabulous! I'm a BIG fan of the light/white plasters. I think it gives the water the purest looking color water should have. I just love it!
