New Polaris 280 Backup Valve Not Cycling

I replaced my Polaris 280 backup valve with a new backup valve after a crack in the case of my previous one, and it won't stop cycling so it's not moving in the pool. Any suggestions before I have to take it to a pool store? Did an internet search and the troubleshooting focuses on fixing current backup valves, not new ones.

Welcome to TFP.

Was the replacement backup valve a genuine Polaris part?

Try another genuine Polaris backup valve. The quality of parts has declined ever since COVID. We see lots of replacement parts that don't work right.

Is your new backup valve a G52 or G59 valve?
