I'm still using the strips as a crutch until Monday - when the TFtest kit arrives.

So - we had moderate temps today (high 80s) and mostly sunny skies.

Wifey and kiddo swam for a while in the cool water....

Tested just now and have an issue:

(WARNING AquaChek strip test)

pH - 8
FC - 1
TA - 180
CYA - 100

I can't double check the strip test due to lack of reagent.
New TF kit won't be here until Monday afternoon.

According to pool calculator.....I'm in a bind.

It suggests replacing 60% of my water to lower CYA..... I had to add ~3 inches of water due to evap and a slow leak.

That should have lowered my CYA some..... right?

I'm going to go ahead and add the 12.5% to keep the green monster at bay.
I guess I'll stop by the Pool Store Thieves and pick up some Muriatic.

Suggestions?

I'm tempted to add some powdered shock to lower pH and then deal with CYA with some replacement.
I don't thin rain is in the forecast until Monday-Tues.

All info appreaciated.

thanks
