I just started an account and figured I’d introduce myself. I live in San Diego, married with 3 kids —9, 9, 5. Always wanted a pool but have zero experience designing, building, maintaining a pool. Total newbie. Kids are so excited for it, they’re working odd jobs to save up money for it. We have just over 1/4 acre property, ling and narrow.
Now, the pool anticipation over my lifetime coupled with pool quotes I’ve gotten has created a sort of paralysis as it comes to determining a design and direction for the pool. We have a lot of road noise from a highway behind our house that Id like to distract with robust but soothing water features, and I want the pool to be fun for the kids now (jumping, basketball) and timelessly aesthetic for the years that come. So I found this forum and you all are a wealth of information so far. Hopefully I can find my pool here. Any designs or pictures of finished pools you are excited about are welcome—I’d love to see them. Thanks!—Steve
