So,im no expert but i feel our current pool has come to the end of its life lol ,well the frame has anyway..
I have a replacement frame waiting for the next season..
My question is, where it had rusted the most (is where the deck is,,and where the kids been getting in and out...) wouldn't getting somthing like a top cap, or maybe a over sized pool noodle to go around that top frame, help with the deterioration of the rust from the pool water?

Wow, definitely time to replace that frame.

If you could seal the area you are talking about so that absolutely no water could get in, maybe. Otherwise you run the risk of trapping water and decreasing evaporation, which would accelerate corrosion instead.

How old is this frame?

Frames only 3 years old,,,, but within the first year the frame already showed signs of rust,,,
thats when i contacted coleman, and warrantied the frame.. So its been waiting in the shed till the right moment lol
(Once this new one finally goes,, were just gonna go and get a resin AGP... )

I'd wager that the deck is shading the pool in that area and/or hindering airflow, taking it longer to dry out. With kids being kids in the pool, the entire frame gets soaked, not just the area they get out.

Yea its pretty shaded in that area. i guess that's the way its gonna be...,, when this new frame goes on,, get another 2-3 years out of it ( hopefully with liner withstanding),, then go ahead with a resin pool.
Just gonna see if it makes it through winter lol
